Prepare for the next disaster

We help organizations plan how they will continue to operate in a disaster, helping strengthen our community and build resiliency across Marin

Respond in a coordinated way

Together, we create a collaborative disaster response network to help the most vulnerable in Marin

Recover with the help of the community

Through coordinated community efforts we will help you find resources and start on the path to recovery

Disasters are chaotic and a response can be haphazard when organizations react independently of one another. It is critical that we plan and prepare collaboratively to respond quickly and effectively.

Marin VOAD is a collaboration of community-based organizations that provide disaster services to residents and visitors in Marin County. We are part of the emergency management response system and we foster coordination and communication between government agencies and community-based partners so disaster response and recovery can be collaborative, efficient and effective.

Through meetings, training, and exercises with disaster service organizations, we assist with preparedness and planning to develop trust and partnerships and build an equitable response to those significantly impacted by disasters, primarily vulnerable residents in Marin County.
